Las Vegas Travel

There's no city quite like it! As you make your way down the famous Las Vegas Strip, the feeling is one of awe, as you take in the town's amazing mega resorts, sparkling with millions of lights and almost as many people.

The gaming industry, of course, is what made Las Vegas what it is today and through the years, the city has grown from a one-horse Western town to a world-class destination.

The finest resorts have sprung up in this Nevada town and they continue to attract everyone from high-end clients to families seeking vacation fun. While the main attraction continues to be the casinos along the Strip, most of the resorts have endeavored to make the city a more kid-friendly town. You'll find circus acts, thrill rides, bowling, and a myriad of other activities in Las Vegas that will keep the kids happy.

The resorts also host hundreds of concerts and sporting events each year, bringing some of the top names in entertainment to Las Vegas.

Downtown still boasts a number of casinos that were part of the original fabric of the city. While they're not as elaborate as the mega resorts on the Strip, they're a good lower priced option for individuals and families who prefer to be removed from the crowds and aren't looking for a host of amenities.

The Fremont Street Experience, which bills itself as "Over-the-Top Vintage Vegas", hosts a state-of-the-art light and animation display, boasting $17 million dollars worth of the latest sight-and-sound-show equipment which produces a spectacular event that will wow the whole family. You'll also find concerts and other special events here, especially at various holiday seasons like Christmas and Independence Day.

Away from the casinos, there's still plenty to keep visitors busy. Golfing is one of the most popular active pursuits for those who visit Las Vegas. A short drive to the Lake Las Vegas/Henderson area provides an excellent selection of challenging and well-maintained courses designed by the top names in the industry, like Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio.

Don't miss a chance to visit the spectacular Hoover Dam, located just 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas on the Arizona/Nevada border. Many tour companies offer bus trips to the Dam, with pick-up at resorts downtown and along the Strip. For a real vacation experience you won't forget, take a Hoover Dam helicopter tour, which may also be combined with a trip to the Grand Canyon. Visitors can also choose a rafting tour, which takes them for a float near the waters of the Dam on the Colorado River.

Sightseeing and playing the slots are lots of fun, but many guests come to Las Vegas for a more personal reason. Each day in Las Vegas, nearly 250 marriage licenses are issued and prospective brides and grooms travel to one of the city's many chapels for a quick wedding ceremony, an Elvis Presley-themed to-do, or a more elaborate and formal event at a fine resort.

Whether you travel to Las Vegas for the casinos, the glittery nightlife, a wedding, or just for a fun time with your family, you're sure to enjoy the best in fine accommodations, excellent food, and friendly people who are eager to help make your vacation a memorable one.
